We’ve changed our paid upgrade policy company wide. Here is the short version. All “right of point” updates are free. This also changes the Download Policy. The new policy is that you’ll always have download access to the latest release of the version you purchased. You can read more about it at the EllisLab blog.

First up is a brand-new layout type, Embed Content, which is every bit as powerful as it sounds. Create an Embed Content Layout containing your re-usable bit of code, then include it in all of the regular layouts you'd like. Edit it once, and your changes will instantly appear everywhere else.

The second required a good bit of tweaking under the hood, but you'll be happy to know MojoMotor no longer requires the word “page” in URLs. Yes, you can now assign any URL to a Page and make it even cleaner and simpler than before.

We are pleased to share with you the MojoMotor Forecast.  This page gives you a glance at upcoming features, improvements, and other items noteworthy of sharing with those in our community who are interested in MojoMotor’s direction.

The MojoMotor Forecast can be considered to be in beta as we improve what and how this information is shared with you over time.  The items presented are not a wish list nor a roadmap: these are features and enhancements that the development team has actively begun work on, and will see the light of day in around-the-corner releases.

The Customer Support Specialist is the first point of contact for all technical support requests and focuses on ensuring an excellent technical support experience for ExpressionEngine and MojoMotor customers. The Customer Support Specialist’s primary responsibility is to champion our customers: beginning with their technical support journey, escalating as necessary, following the issue to resolution, and ensuring a positive support experience.

The Customer Support Specialist enjoys solving challenging puzzles and explaining the solutions to others.

The Customer Support Specialist will work with all EllisLab staff to innovate in these areas and focus on growth of knowledge resources and improving the support workflow.

Duties:

• Championing customers and ensuring that support requests are handled with expertise, kindness, and skill
• Handling customer logins securely and confidentially for high level troubleshooting on customer sites
• Escalating issues to the development team as needed

Qualifications:

• Proficient with ExpressionEngine and MojoMotor.
• Experience in customer service and support
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of XHTML, HTML, and other web technologies used in web design
• Knowledge of technologies that affect dynamic publishing systems
• Ability to set up a local development environment (Apache, MySQL, PHP), and modify its configuration as necessary to mimic relevant hosting environments
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, i.e. conversing timely over email and/or IM is essential
• Ability to work well independently and productively on a small team without being micromanaged
• Written skills to communicate technical information clearly and in “layman’s terms” while being both professional, kind, friendly, and encouraging
• Ability to recognize patterns of support issues in order to identify where resources are needed and potential bugs need handling

Previous technical support experience is required.

Exceptional Qualifications:

• Experience with CodeIgniter, PHP, MySQL, and Javascript
• Experience teaching technical skills
• Excellent telephone skills
